2027 Combined Election Polling Place Consultation Map

Getting Started

The 2027 Combined Election Polling Place Map is a tool to explore Polling Places, addresses of properties and election areas. You can search by postcode and Polling Place name/ID. Below is some guidance on how to use the Map tool.

Mapping

• Standard Map (OSNI): This gives the option of showing the standard Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland (OSNI) map background.
• Aerial Photo: This gives the option of showing aerial imagery for the selected area.
• No Map: This gives the option of removing all the background map so you can focus on the secondary data layers.

Electoral Register:

• Addresses: This gives the option of showing the location of addresses of all properties – note this includes some properties that have no registered electors. The addresses will only be shown when you zoom in to a lower level of geography.
• Search postcode: You can use this to search the addresses in a specific postcode. Enter your postcode in the search box to move the map to that location. There is also a drop-down menu to allow you to select a specific address.
• Polling Places: This gives the option of showing the location of all the Polling Places in Northern Ireland.
• Search polling places: You can use this to search for a specific Polling Place either by name or ID.

Election

This section shows various boundary layers - this includes:

• District Electoral Area (80 areas – purple lines)
• Assembly Area (18 areas – blue lines)
• Council (11 areas – light brown lines).

Data Attribution

The base maps are provided by Ordnance Survey, see copyright link for more information. Polling Place and address information is provided by the Electoral Office.
